Standard Room
From ₹2,500 per night + taxes
The house room, and most of the hotel: a king bed, a work desk, a wardrobe and a refrigerator, with the lake through the window.
City Lake Hotel is a twenty-eight-room boutique hotel on Dasarahalli Main Road, north Bengaluru — small enough to know its guests by name, and turned to face the water.
Both room categories look out over the lake, which is a genuine rarity in this part of the city. Rooms are unfussy and well kept: air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, an LED television, a work desk, a refrigerator and hot water throughout, with breakfast included on the breakfast plan. The front desk is staffed around the clock, and the whole property is run for business and leisure travellers alike.
Above it all sits Koyla, the rooftop cafe and lounge — multi-cuisine, rustic-pub in mood, open from seven in the morning until one at night, with the lake in full view. City Lake Hotel is part of RG Group of Hotels & Convention, Bengaluru, founded in 2016.
Dasarahalli sits on the northern edge of the city, and the hotel is built to face the water rather than the road. Every one of the twenty-eight keys is a lake-view room — the twenty Standards and the eight Deluxes alike — so the outlook is the standard here rather than the upgrade.
Twenty-eight rooms is a size that lets service stay personal — a front desk that is genuinely staffed at three in the morning, laundry back the same day, and a house team that recognises a returning guest. City Lake was founded by Raveesh Gowda and sits within the RG Group, whose hotels have served Bengaluru since 2016.
Twenty Standard rooms and eight Deluxes — both king-bedded, both looking over the lake.

The larger of the two, with a coffee table to unwind by. Takes up to three adults and a child, with an extra bed on request.
What comes with the room, in both categories — nothing held back for a higher tier.
The rooftop cafe and lounge — multi-cuisine, rustic in mood, open from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
Koyla is the reason most guests come up rather than out. A rustic, pub-styled room and terrace seating sixty, serving a multi-cuisine menu from breakfast through to the small hours, with a full bar and the lake laid out below. It is the one thing the hotel asks you not to miss.
The décor is deliberately rough-edged — brick, timber and low light, with a wall of framed guests who have passed through. Ordering is à la carte throughout; there is no buffet service. Breakfast for resident guests is served here on the breakfast-inclusive plan.
A short, honest list — what the hotel has, and what it does not.
